Helping Burn Victims Across the State

There are many causes of burn injuries, including fires, explosions in coal mines and industrial workplaces, electrical accidents and motor vehicle accidents. Whatever the cause, serious burn injuries cause much suffering, including physical pain and psychological trauma.

First Week of the New Year Sees Two Mining Incidents

Two serious mining incidents have occurred in the first week of the New Year. The first mining fatality of the year was recorded on Monday when a miner was found dead at the Lower War Eagle Mine near Cyclone, West Virginia, in Wyoming County. The fatality occurred when the miner came into contact with a belt roller in the mine according to various reports. The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) along with the West Virginia Office of Miners' Health, Safety, and Training are investigating into the cause of the incident.
