A car accident in Harrison County, West Virginia, on Friday caused one person to be flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Around 3:40 p.m. near the Gypsy bridge, a Chrysler concord and a Honda element collided head on. According to reports, the driver of the Concord was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Element was transported to United Hospital Center and then transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital, while a passenger in the element was transported to United Hospital Center. Police from the Harrison County Sherriff’s Department said the Element was traveling north bound and the Chrysler was traveling south bound. According to the Harrison County Sherriff’s Department, distracted driving may be a factor in the crash.
