Birth injury cases require prompt record review and careful medical review. We gather the full chart, review what happened before and during delivery, and identify the point at which care may have gone wrong. That can include the delivery timeline, prenatal history, newborn treatment, NICU records, and the decisions made by doctors, nurses, or hospital staff.
We also work with the right medical experts for the claim. Under West Virginia law, birth injury cases often require a qualified standard-of-care expert before the case can move forward. Once the review supports a claim, we prepare the Notice of Claim and Screening Certificate of Merit required under WV Code §55-7B-6.
Our goal is to build the case around your child’s long-term needs, including future medical care, therapy, equipment, home changes, and family support.
